Revival Falls on a Lonely Scottish Island

Revival Falls on a Lonely Scottish Island

One of the great visitations of the Holy Spirit in the past hundred years occurred in the 1950s on the extreme northern coast of Scotland under the preaching of Duncan Campbell. Though its effect was confined to a small area in the Hebrides Islands, the power that exploded upon the island of Berneray was identical […]

Grieving the Holy Spirit

Grieving the Holy Spirit

Relating to the Holy Spirit If we grieve the Holy Spirit He may become silent, imperceptible to us, and we will find ourselves seemingly abandoned to a frustrated and unspiritual state. It was in the apparent fear of this condition that David cried out, “Take not your Holy Spirit from me!” The scores of apathetic […]

Interview with Charles Carrin about his book Spirit-Empowered Theology

Captivity Of The Mind: Spiritually Understanding Abnormal Human Behavior

Recently I was in a South Florida home with a young man who had captured a wild hawk and in a short time had converted it into an obedient Falcon. At the sound of a whistle, the bird would fly from its perch, light on the man’s arm, take food offered it, and on command […]

Shepherds and Sheepdogs

Shepherds and Sheepdogs

Charles Carrin draws out a biblical analogy full of tested and practical wisdom.   Every shepherd needs a sheepdog. Knowing this, God sends them. Some shepherds cannot tell the difference between a sheepdog and a wolf and chase the dogs away. The loss to the shepherd and the flock is tragic. Other shepherds think […]

Standing Between the Living and the Dead

Standing Between the Living and the Dead

George Whitefield was an Englishman of the 18th century and one of the greatest evangelists of all times. Today’s “signs and wonders” would seem mild in comparison to the Spirit’s astonishing demonstrations that occurred in his ministry. My request of the Lord is that He will anoint me with the same Holy Spirit’s power that […]

The Holy Spirit's Amazing Work of Art

The Holy Spirit’s Amazing Work of Art

A fresh reminder from Chas Carrin about how amazing the Bible is and how the Spirit speaks through it today. Pentecost exploded onto the ancient world with such power that it forever altered the work of scribes and the production of books. The overwhelming demand for the written account of Jesus had no precedent in […]
