On the SPS History Interest Facebook group, PH wrote: "Wow, may I add to the testimony of healing. Something happened to me this past weekend – which I couldn't understand as it was so out of character for me. But as I was reading reports of what was happening at SPS on Facebook, I burst into tears in my husband's presence – seemingly without any provocation (he had asked if I'd like anything at the store – which left both of us bewildered at first) – and I poured out my heart how I was in crisis because I so tired of being a lightning rod for men who had a problem with women in ministry. At first Tom was stunned but then realized that this had nothing to do with him and he just listened and doted as only a beloved partner can. As I cried and I cried and I cried, the pain of years of being the odd person out within a fellowship which read the Scriptures in such as way as to deny leadership roles to women seemed to pour out of me. I had no idea that I felt so much pain so deep within me. And then the healing began. I could physically feel it. And I felt a release to move on into the future God has for me. I couldn't figure out why this had happend at this time. I had no idea then about what was occurring at SPS but I thank God for people like Kenneth J. Archer and Cheryl Bridges Johns and Kimberly Ervin Alexander who know enough to follow the Spirit's leading including when to step back and let someone else step forward to release the move of the Spirit in bringing women like me to healing and wholeness. It went well beyond SPS but I have no doubt that that's where it began… Thank you. Come, Holy Spirit, we need You…"
