About the Author: Ian R. Hall, Ph.D (Theology, Leeds), is a theologian, educator, pastor, author, evangelist, and missionary with over six decades of ministry experience. He is an expert on the topic of revival throughout the Bible and church history, from the first century of the early church to what God is doing in the world today. Dr. Hall and his wife, Sheila, have served as missionaries to Europe since the 1980s and in Romania since 1990. He is the author of Preparing and Preaching Bible Messages (1994), Introduction To Homiletics (2006), Called to a Practical Holy Life (2023), and Times of Renewal: A History and Theology of Revival and Spiritual Awakenings (first edition, 2023) with the second edition (2024) to be available outside of Europe. He is also a contributor to many journals and academic works including The Holy Spirit in Christian Education, the Conference on the Holy Spirit Digest (1983), and The New International Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements.
