    Aída Besançon Spencer, Ph.D., Senior Professor of New Testament at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She has over 200 publications including 18 books, such as Beyond the Curse: Women Called to Ministry (Baker, 1985), 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus, New Covenant Commentary Series (Cascade 2013, 2014), 2 Corinthians, Daily Bible Commentary (Hendrickson, 2007), Paul’s Literary Style (University Press of America, 2007), and, most recently, A Commentary on James, Kregel Exegetical Library (Kregel Academic, 2020). Ordained as a Presbyterian minister, she has served as a specialized minister, teacher, pastor, and community organizer. She blogs regularly at Applying Biblical Truths Today (https://aandwspencer.com). Reared in the Dominican Republic, she is married to the Rev.
