Oh, that You would rend the heavens!
That you would come down!
That the mountains might shake at Your presence—
As fire burns brushwood,
As fire causes water to boil—
To make Your name known to Your adversaries,
That the nations my tremble at Your presence!

Isaiah 64:1-2

Thank You for answering this prayer by sending Jesus. I know that Messiah coming was so different from what Isaiah expected. Thank You for taking out on Him what I deserved. Thank You for showing me Your love through what Jesus did, dying for me, vindicating Him by raising Him from the dead.

Thank You for giving Your Spirit so that I might live like Him: angry at injustice, grieving with the broken, loving the unlovely, and in all things trusting You who are always trustworthy.
