Just one small point of information — your quotation that “Liberation Theology opted for the poor, but he poor opted for Pentecostalism” is cited in a number of sources and attributed to a variety of people. I believe its original publication was a quotation from Brazilian Presbyterian pastor Caio Fabio d’Araujo, who said, “The Catholic Church opted for the poor, but he poor opted for Pentecostalism” (James Brooke, “Pragmatic Protestants Win Catholic Converts in Brazil,” The New York Times, July 4, 1993. Apparently, later quotations are variations on d’Araujo’s comment to the NY Times reporter. If you can find an earlier published quote, please let me know.
