It is a second chance theory for those who “miss the rapture” to find salvation through beheading. It also pushes back onto the 7 years of supposed wrath on sinners high handed and universal persecution against the church, so we can stay comfortable and lukewarm, lulling ourselves into missing the actual second coming. There will only be one second coming, and the only variable when it arrives is whether you get on the up or down elevator.
