I hold to a sovereign predestination without any human compatibility with the sovereignty of God. Driscoll holds to a hypothetical universal atonement that allows for compatible views of human responsibility with God while at the same time holding forth a limited atonement for the elect of God only. This is the modern Calvinism of John Piper, John MacArthur and a popular host of celebrity Calvinist.

I followed with amusement the antics of Mark Driscoll visiting on Grace to You campus the weekend of John MacArthur #strangefire conference. I was following the event on line that day. Driscoll was quiet bold, admirably so for appearing on the grounds promoting his new book release and his own upcoming men’s conference.

That weekend John MacArthur broad-brushed 500,000,000 Christians into the eternal Lake of Fire for not being like him in faith, cessationism!
