Virginia Burrus: Late Ancient Christianity

For the reader who is familiar with the Church Fathers—Ignatius, Irenaeus, Origen, Tertullian, and others—this book will refresh the memory of their contribution and synthesize parts of their works. For the reader who is not familiar with the Church Fathers, this book will introduce the perplexing array of their works, either to befuddle or intrigue. Either way, it will supply the reader with a broad scope of material on the late ancient church to contemplate.
