Jeff Bailey: Worship and Spirituality in the New World

When it comes to his discussion of theology, I cannot agree more: “If theological thinking drives you to conclude that you understand everything, and doesn’t bring you to a place where you lie prostrate before God and confess that you don’t understand and all you want to do is worship, then you haven’t done theology” (p. 18). True also is Webber’s insight that education must be about becoming people who are wise. Instruction that merely gives information is shallow, and boring. The church needs to learn how to teach in such a way that hearers know how to deal with information and become wise and good people.
