Captivity Of The Mind: Spiritually Understanding Abnormal Human Behavior
Romans 12:2. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Ephesians 4:23. “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind.”
Philippians 2:5. “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”
Colossians 3:2. “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”
2 Timothy 1:7. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
2 Corinthians 13:11. “Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”
Best of all, remember that Jesus came to “set the captives free.” No where is this truth illustrated better than with the maniac of Gadara. Mark 5:17, explains that the townspeople ” … went out to see what it was that had happened … and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind.” What the devil had taken from him, Jesus had restored. This part of Kingdom Ministry must be continued in the Church today!
