Charles Carrin, D.D., has served the body of Christ for over 65 years. Educated at University of Georgia and Columbia Theological Seminary, he denied, in belief and practice, the contemporary ministry of the Holy Spirit until a personal crisis opened his eyes to what he had been missing. He is the author of Spirit-Empowered Theology (Chosen, 2017), The Edge Of Glory: Receiving the Power of the Holy Spirit (Creation House, 2002), Sunrise of David Sunset of Saul: A Message to the Church in the End-time (1985, 2014), On Whose Authority?: The Removal of Unwanted Scriptures (Burkhart Books, 2014), a revival novel with Dorothy Easley: Island in the Sun (Xulon, 2010), and a contributor to Word Spirit Power: What Happens When You Seek All God Has to Offer (Chosen, 2012) with R.T. Kendall and Jack Taylor. Today his ministry centers upon the visible demonstration of the Spirit and imparting of His gifts. Read his biography at www.charlescarrinministries.com/about-charles.php.

Herrnhut: A Caribbean Shrine You Need to Know

Herrnhut: A Caribbean Shrine You Need to Know

Brother Carrin shares a lesson from church history about a renewal that changed missions and changed him forever. I am now 75 years old, and as you can imagine, looking back in gratitude to God for all my adult life spent in ministry. There are too many highlights to mention but here is one that […]

One-Sentence Sermons, compiled by Charles Carrin

One-Sentence Sermons, compiled by Charles Carrin

Over the years I have collected bits of wisdom from different sources. I share a few of them with you. When known, authors are named. “There are none so enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe “When people regard a portion of the truth as if it were […]

It Takes a Steady Hand to Hold a Full Cup

It Takes a Steady Hand to Hold a Full Cup

A group of young pastors have asked that I meet with them monthly for lunch to answer questions and provide help. At our last meeting I gave them the pop-quiz below. I recommend that you read it. If you are a pastor you may be helped by examining your answers. If you are not a […]

Six Ways the Holy Spirit Will Communicate With You, by Charles Carrin

Six Ways the Holy Spirit Will Communicate With You, by Charles Carrin

One of the tragic losses in modern Christianity is the near-elimination of the Holy Spirit from the life and activity of many believers. Religion that is learned and formalized can function without the Holy Spirit; true spirituality cannot. A prominent church leader once said of his denomination that “If the Holy Spirit were to […]

The Holy Spirit Never Left the Church

The Holy Spirit Never Left the Church

In 1987, on the 250th Anniversary of its’ founding, I visited New Herrnhut Moravian Church on the island of St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. Visiting this mountain-side shrine and the jungle overhanging its cemetery impacted my life in a way I will carry to my grave. There are churches in the Western Hemisphere […]

Shepherds and Sheepdogs

Shepherds and Sheepdogs

Charles Carrin draws out a biblical analogy full of tested and practical wisdom.   Every shepherd needs a sheepdog. Knowing this, God sends them. Some shepherds cannot tell the difference between a sheepdog and a wolf and chase the dogs away. The loss to the shepherd and the flock is tragic. Other shepherds think […]

Standing Between the Living and the Dead

Standing Between the Living and the Dead

George Whitefield was an Englishman of the 18th century and one of the greatest evangelists of all times. Today’s “signs and wonders” would seem mild in comparison to the Spirit’s astonishing demonstrations that occurred in his ministry. My request of the Lord is that He will anoint me with the same Holy Spirit’s power that […]

The Holy Spirit's Amazing Work of Art

The Holy Spirit’s Amazing Work of Art

A fresh reminder from Chas Carrin about how amazing the Bible is and how the Spirit speaks through it today. Pentecost exploded onto the ancient world with such power that it forever altered the work of scribes and the production of books. The overwhelming demand for the written account of Jesus had no precedent in […]
